HMD Global, the company which holds the rights to the Nokia brand, launched today a new mid-range smartphone called the Nokia 6. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 430 chipset with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, Adreno 505 GPU, 64GB of storage expandable upto 128GB via a microSD card and 4GB of RAM. It will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p screen protected by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass, and a metal unibody made of 6000 series aluminium.
The Nokia 6 is equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera with PDAF and an aperture of f/2.0. The selfie shooter is an 8-megapixel camera with the same aperture.
The Nokia 6 accepts two micro-SIMs which support LTE networks. Other features include GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Compass, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. A 3000mah non-removable battery will provide its juice.
The Nokia 6 will only be sold in China for under $250 and no international or local availability was announced.
